Chemo Starts Today

We came to the hospital Friday, May 24th. With Chemo starting today, we probably aren’t slated to leave till June 10th. I think that has been the most difficult part of this ordeal for Ellis. He’s a super active playful kid who loves to run, bike, and sword fight his way through our neighborhood. So 2 and a half weeks in a hospital room has been tough.

We have been making it work with daily walks to the playroom and laps around our floor, plus the occasional wagon ride. We’re keeping things fresh with lots of lego, coloring books, and a healthy dose of Bluey and Curious George.

Today he’ll start Chemo. We would be grateful for prayers that the medicine does its job, and we can be through this by his 6th Birthday come October.
