Things Are Looking Good

Wanted to share a quick, positive update on Ellis as I’ve had a few people reach out to find out how he’s doing. We’ve continued to have monthly visits with the oncologist just to keep an eye on things, and make sure he is recovering as expected.

In short, everything is looking great. His white blood cell counts are looking as they should as this stage. We are still waiting on B-Cell function to return to normal after chemotherapy, but this can take anywhere from 6-12 months.

One especially exciting update—Ellis no longer has to take his weekend medication! His counts are strong enough that he can stop, which he’s very happy about. According to him, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience, but he powered through it for months, and we couldn’t be prouder.

He’s even starting to get good at blood draws, giving himself little pep talks each time. It’s great to see him grow even in the midst of all the adversity he has been through.

Looking forward, we’ll continue having doctor visits in the coming months to keep an eye on things. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!
