Home Sweet Home

After 17 days in the hospital, we finally got to bring Ellis home for a few days.

It was great to see a smile on his face in the back yard, and to see him sleeping in his own bed.

We were grateful for friends who cleaned up our house and decorated to make Ellis’s return home feel special.

Yesterday we traveled to Cook Children’s in Ft Worth for a PET scan and received more great news. The rest of his body is all clear, and the only area showing signs of cancer cells was the original location near his lymph nodes. Lea and I were grateful to hear this news, on our 9th wedding anniversary no less.

Today we are unfortunately back in the Hospital as Ellis had a mild fever this morning. This isn’t necessarily abnormal but it will mean some more time here till he gets the all clear and his white blood cell count recovers a bit.
