Our New Normal, For Now.

We continue to receive good news from Doctors about Ellis’s treatment. Already the lump his Mom originally discovered on his neck has all but disappeared, save for a small pea sized bump that should hopefully continue to shrink. The lack of major side effects has been a huge relief for us so far.

The biggest challenge we’re currently facing is just the mental hurdle of living in a small hospital room for 2 weeks. Ellis has gotten the chance to walk the halls a few times, but for a boy whose default energy level is 11/10, I know it’s hard for him to be cooped up so much. There is only so much Bluey and chocolate milk one can take before the desire to move and get outside inevitably sets in! The chemotherapy also does take a toll on his energy levels, and he was especially tired today.

Fortunately, it looks like we will finally have the chance to go home in a few days time. We’ll get two weeks away before having to return to the hospital for a week of more treatment. This schedule will more or less continue till this battle is over.

We ask for prayers for the strength to continue running this race.
